We are partnering with a specialist search firm that supports clients across asset management, private markets, wealth management, and the broader investment landscape. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an Interim Talent Research Consultant to support the delivery of executive and specialist mandates.

The firm was founded in 2012 and primarily recruits for front-office and investment-related positions.

Job Description

  • Conduct detailed candidate research across live search assignments.
  • Identify and engage high-calibre professionals using proprietary databases, market intelligence tools, and external research methods.
  • Produce candidate profiles, market insights, and assessment write-ups.
  • Support talent mapping projects across investment management and financial services markets.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future mandates.
  • Undertake targeted outreach and candidate engagement activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across all assignments and sector areas.
  • Participate in client meetings and searches, with increasing client-facing responsibility as experience develops.
  • Contribute to the successful delivery of retained and contingent search assignments.

The Successful Applicant

  • 2+ years' experience in recruitment, executive search, talent intelligence, or candidate research.
  • Exposure to asset management, private markets, wealth management, asset owners, or wider financial services is required.
  • Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.
  • Naturally curious with a genuine interest in markets, businesses, and people.
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on quality and delivery.
  • Comfortable engaging and building relationships with senior-level professionals.
  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and low ego in approach.
  • Motivated by delivering excellent outcomes rather than individual ownership or internal competition.
  • Must have the right to work in the UK.
