Job Description

The Legal Counsel will be:

Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts
Supporting procurement teams with contract negotiations and supplier arrangements
Advising on data protection matters including data processing and cross border transfers
Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with policies and standards
Enhancing and streamlining contracting processes and frameworks
Working closely with risk, compliance and information security teams
Providing proactive, business focused legal advice to support decision making
Identifying and mitigating legal and commercial risks
Supporting the development of colleagues within the procurement function

The Successful Applicant

The Legal Counsel should be:

A solicitor or equivalent with 2 years PQE or above
Experienced in commercial contracts including technology or procurement agreements
Knowledgeable in contract law, data protection and risk management
Able to deliver pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice
Confident managing workload and prioritising effectively in a fast paced environment
A strong communicator with excellent drafting and negotiation skills
Collaborative, proactive and able to work autonomously
Professional and capable of handling sensitive matters
