Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsStep into a high‑impact role and lead with confidence.Shape key legal agreements and influence major projects.About Our ClientMy client is an independent, global construction and property consultancy, delivering project, cost and construction management expertise across the built environment.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesNegotiate and agree terms for appointments, warranties, deeds of novation, sub‑consultancy agreements and confidentiality documents on behalf of my client.Manage the full negotiation process from initial instruction to final execution and archiving.Draft, review and support the preparation of legal documents such as appointments and collateral warranties.Track delays in negotiations, assess commercial impact, and report findings promptly.Identify and manage potential conflicts of interest, escalating when required.Ensure all appointments comply with internal procedures and the Business Management System (BMS).Research legislative developments and advise the team on implications.Contribute to in‑house training and attend CPD sessions, providing updates afterward.Maintain accurate records and ensure internal systems are kept up to date.Support other members of the legal team as required by senior leadership.Use standard documentation and incorporate legislative or best‑practice updates into processes.The Successful ApplicantThe ideal candidate will be an experienced legal professional with 2-5 years' background in a similar role either as a QUALIFIED LAWYER, QUALIFIED LEGAL EXECUTIVE OR EXPERIENCED SENIOR PARALEGAL.They will be confident handling negotiations and drafting complex legal agreements.They will bring a meticulous approach to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple negotiations simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and momentum.They will be adept at communicating with stakeholders at all levels, from project teams to senior leadership, and will demonstrate sound judgement when assessing risks, potential conflicts of interest and commercial implications.A proactive mindset is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively within a fast‑paced legal team.The successful applicant will be comfortable working within formal processes and systems, ensuring full compliance with internal procedures and insurance requirements.
