Job Description

The core of the role involves high-level analysis and hands-on operational support:



  • Financial Integrity: Performing regular P&L and Balance Sheet reviews and maintaining robust financial stewardship over business-wide projects.


  • Operational Optimisation: Collaborating with teams to control costs, improve sales margins, and ensure accurate stock costing vital task in a retail production environment.


  • Strategic Planning: Managing budgets, strategic forecasts, capital expenditure (CapEx), and competitor analysis.


  • New Revenue Streams: Providing financial oversight for the E-commerce section and analysing new retail sales channels.


  • Systems Development: Working with IT to evolve the ERP system to improve data quality and optimise production output.

The Successful Applicant



  • The ideal candidate is a proactive "relationship builder" who balances technical expertise with emotional intelligence:


    • Qualified: Must hold an appropriate accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, etc.).


    • Experience: Proven history of acting as a "value-add" partner rather than just a back-office accountant, preferably with experience in a retail or operational setting.


    • Personality: Resilient, determined, and energetic. They must be comfortable "challenging" the business while remaining diplomatic and sensitive to team dynamics.


    • Mindset: Enjoys a challenging environment and possesses the "will to drive success" within a commercial framework.
