You will be supported by an external accountancy firm for year‑end and payroll, allowing you to focus on smooth, consistent financial operations throughout the year.You'll oversee the finance function end-to-end, ensuring accurate records, well‑maintained controls and timely reporting to the directors.Key responsibilities include:Managing daily finance activity using Sage 200Overseeing sales and purchase ledger processesManaging supplier payments and supporting cashflowCompleting bank reconciliations and maintaining control accountsPreparing and submitting VAT returnsProducing monthly management information and financial reportsSupporting budgeting and basic forecastingCoordinating with external accountants on year‑end preparationMaintaining strong financial controls and documentationAssisting with import/export documentation and duty deferment adminActing as the senior on‑site finance contact for suppliers, customers and advisersProviding occasional support to the wider office teamThe Successful Applicant This role suits an experienced accounts professional - AAT, part-qualified or qualified by experience - who is comfortable operating as the senior finance person within an SME. You'll be organised, accurate, reliable and confident working closely with directors, external accountants and long-standing colleagues.
