Job Description

The successful Management Accountant will:

  • Prepare and analyse stock reports to identify variances and trends.
  • Monitor stock levels and provide accurate valuations for financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to streamline stock management processes.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities related to inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements in stock management.
  • Provide support during audits and ensure accurate documentation of stock data.
  • Deliver regular updates and insights to senior management on stock performance.
  • Be responsible for the day to day management of an Assistant Management Accountant.
  • Support a culture of continuous improvement working closely with a Finance Director to improve efficiencies within the wider business.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Management Accountant should have:

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Ideally experience in stock accounting.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • The ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
