It's ideal for someone who enjoys rolling their sleeves up, taking ownership and being part of a hardworking, supportive team where everyone pulls together.Job DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Management Accountant include:Production of accurate monthly management accountsBalance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controlsBusiness partnering with the Managing Director of your business entitySupporting budgeting, forecasting and financial analysisReviewing processes and identifying opportunities for improvementAssisting with statutory accounts preparation and year-end activitiesSupporting wider group finance projects across multiple business entitiesManaging and developing one direct reportProviding hands-on support across finance whenever requiredThe Successful ApplicantWe're looking for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative SME environment and isn't afraid to get involved wherever needed.You'll ideally have:ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be close to qualifying) Strong studiers and QBE will be considered.Previous experience producing management accounts from start to finishStrong balance sheet reconciliation experienceA proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to support across all areas of financeExperience managing or mentoring junior team members would be advantageousExcellent communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across the businessA continuous improvement mindset and the confidence to challenge existing processesThis role would particularly suit someone who enjoys broad commercial exposure rather than working in a highly structured corporate environment.What's on OfferA competitive salary c.£50kPAA guaranteed company bonus TBCA permanent position offering stability and career growth.An opportunity to work with a respected organisation in Chester.A collaborative and professional company culture.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Management Accountant to make a significant impact in a great business.
