We are looking for a skilled Manufacturing Engineer with an in-depth knowledge of CNC machining to join a leading manufacturing organisation in Birmingham. This role requires expertise in engineering and manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and high-quality production.

Job Description

  • Oversee and optimise manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
  • Perform full digital simulation and collision verification of all multi-axis machining processes using Vericut
  • Identify and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and maximise productivity.
  • Support NPD and NPI
  • Develop complete machining strategies for complex mill-turn components, including operation sequencing, datum strategy, tooling selection and work holding approach.
  • Create and optimise multi-axis CNC programs using CAM software
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the production environment.
  • Conduct regular analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams.



Working hours

Week 1 - Monday-Thursday: 06:00-14:00 Friday: 06:00-11:30

Week 2 - Monday-Thursday: 14:00-21:00 Friday: 11:30-17:00

The Successful Applicant

A successful Manufacturing Engineer should have:

  • Apprenticeship or degree qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a CNC machining environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Ability to analyse complex problems and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for process improvement.
