They operate as a medium-sized company and are dedicated to maintaining high standards within their logistics operations.Job DescriptionReporting to the Logistics & Warehouse Manager the Material Handler will be responsible for:Work within the core values: Quality, Innovation, a complete offer, attention to detail, care of the environment, competitive enterprise, global capability, unique product, ease of use in all work-related activities.Understand company objectives and strive to meet or exceed the KPIs and metrics.Maintain Flow of Material to Production ensuring that where appropriate materials are issued in full and on time. Including loading and unloading crates onto machinery where applicableUnloading of crates upon deliveryIssue and complete orders in accurate and timely manner and update live booking via SAPClear Material shortages as soon as materials become available.Timely processing of all goods issues to internal and external customers ensuring 5 S principles and transactions are completed at all times using SAP.Receive and document all goods and services into the company ensuring that transactions are completed correctly and promptly.Pick and transfer between the appropriate warehouses items required to fulfil customer sales orders.Ensure that material returns are transacted accurately and promptly.Ensure that materials are correctly identified and stored.Capture weight data of raw material where applicableEnsure that stock rotation practices are maintained.Ensure that all materials handling equipment is maintained and fit for useUndertake regular stock checks in line with company requirements.Collect or deliver materials to internal staff.Pick, Pack and load goods required for despatch.Ensure all necessary documentation is accurate and accompanies all shipments.File and maintain packing and despatch documentation and records.Undertake regular housekeeping activity - 5 SThe Successful ApplicantA successful Material Handler should have:Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, covering, shipping, goods inward, production movements and repetitive FLT movements.Experience of working with computerised stock management system is essential.Methodical and accurate record keeping.A comprehensive understanding of safety procedures.Meeting tight deadlinesExperience of working in a similar environmentProficient in ERP/SAP systems and ExcelExperience in adhering to the 5 S Warehouse standardsWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from £25,300 to £31,250 per annum.Permanent position within a respected organisation in Sutton Coldfield.Opportunities to work in the industrial/manufacturing sector.Supportive and professional working environment.Comprehensive benefits package.If you are a motivated and detail-oriented individual, this Material Handler role in Sutton Coldfield could be the perfect opportunity.
