This is an exciting opportunity for a Mixed Tax Senior to join a reputable accountancy firm in Newport. The role requires expertise in both corporate and personal tax compliance, in additional to previous exposure to tax planning/advisory work and management of a portfolio.

Job Description

  • Prepare and review tax computations for individuals, partnerships, and companies.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and deadlines.
  • Provide advisory services on tax planning and restructuring to clients.
  • Support clients with HMRC enquiries and investigations.
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns and related queries.
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless service to clients.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and advise clients accordingly.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members as needed.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Mixed Tax Senior should have:

  • A professional qualification such as ATT, CTA, ACCA, or ACA.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in both personal and corporate tax compliance and advisory.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • The ability to manage a diverse client portfolio effectively.
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Office applications.
