Job Description

What You'll Do

· Operate safely and comply with all Imerys EHS and COSHH requirements

· Support daily operational activities across mining, refining or drying areas

· Monitor processes, inspect equipment and make basic adjustments

· Use digital systems including SCADA or control‑room interfaces

· Operate or support mobile plant (training provided)

· Maintain high housekeeping standards

· Contribute to continuous improvement, including I‑Cube initiatives

· Communicate effectively across shifts

· Complete operational and reporting tasks accurately

Training, Development & Progression

We welcome applicants with all levels of experience - from those early in their career to experienced operators. What matters most is your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn.

You will receive:

· Full site, safety and equipment training

· SCADA/control‑room systems training (Refining & Drying)

· Mobile plant and forklift training where required

· Quarry and geotechnical training (Mining)

· Overhead crane and equipment training (Drying)

· Structured development pathways to become multi‑skilled

· Supervisory development routes (particularly in Mining)

The Successful Applicant

About You - The Type of Person Who Thrives Here

· Experience in an industrial, manufacturing or outdoor environment - or motivated to learn

· Strong personal commitment to safety and site standards

· Pride in maintaining clean, well‑organised work areas

· Interest in contributing to continuous improvement activities

· Full UK driving licence, with willingness to operate mobile plant

· Forklift experience/licence is beneficial but not essential

· Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills, ideally with exposure to control systems

· Clear communicator who works well with colleagues at all levels

· Willing to undertake further training and develop wide operational skills

· Able to work effectively under own initiative and adapt to changing priorities

· Collaborative team member with a positive, proactive approach

Salary & Hours

Day shift (37.5 hrs/week) £24,784.50 per annum.

12 hour shifts (38.5 hrs.week) £25,445.42 per annum

Shift allowance (12‑hour days & nights) £6,461.65 per annum

Shift allowance (12‑hour days only): £4,174.82 per annum

Shift allowance 2 shift- Monday to Friday only)£1,918.80 per annum
