This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process while also supporting the administration of employee benefits, making it ideal for someone who enjoys combining analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail.As part of a supportive organisation, you'll play a key role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while contributing to continuous improvements across payroll processes, systems, and controls.The RoleThis is a varied position where you'll be responsible for managing the monthly payroll cycle from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to payroll legislation.Day-to-day responsibilities will include:Managing and processing end-to-end monthly payroll activitiesReviewing, validating, and analysing payroll data prior to processingCompleting payroll reconciliations and investigating discrepanciesEnsuring payroll information, including overtime and benefit adjustments, is submitted accurately and on timeAdministering employee benefits and flexible benefit schemesActing as a point of contact for employee payroll and benefits queriesBuilding relationships with HR teams, payroll colleagues, and external providersProducing payroll reports and analysing data using ExcelSupporting payroll process improvements and enhancing controls and efficienciesAssisting with weekly payroll activities when requiredThe Successful Applicant You'll be an experienced payroll professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.You'll ideally have:Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processesStrong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirementsAdvanced Excel skills, including reconciliation and data analysisExcellent organisational and problem-solving skillsExperience working with sensitive and confidential informationStrong communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationshipsDesirable:Experience administering employee benefitsSAP experienceCIPP qualification, or currently working towards oneWhat's on Offer27 days annual leave plus bank holidaysUp to 10% matched pension contributionFlexible benefits packageHealthcare cash plansSalary sacrifice car schemeCycle to Work schemeCritical illness cover optionsGym membership schemeRetail discounts and vouchersOngoing learning and development opportunitiesEmployee Assistance ProgrammeHealth and wellbeing supportPeople are at the heart of Michael Page.
