This is an exciting opportunity to join a team undergoing positive change, with exposure to systems improvements, process enhancements and future transformation projectsJob DescriptionKey responsibilities include:Processing end-to-end monthly payrollManaging starters, leavers and employee changesAdministering overtime, shift payments and statutory paymentsManaging salary sacrifice arrangements and pension administrationCompleting payroll reconciliations and validation checksInvestigating and resolving employee and manager payroll queriesProducing payroll reports and management informationSupporting year-end processes including P60s and statutory reportingLiaising with HMRC, pension providers and third-party suppliersAssisting with payroll system improvements, testing and future projectsDeputising for the Senior Payroll Manager when requiredThe Successful ApplicantWe're looking for an experienced payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can provide both technical expertise and excellent stakeholder support.You'll have:Significant experience delivering end-to-end payroll independentlyStrong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, NI and statutory paymentsMHR iTrent Payroll experienceTime & Attendance system experienceExperience administering pensions and auto-enrolmentExcellent payroll reconciliation and audit skillsExperience dealing with complex payroll queriesAdvanced Excel skillsStrong attention to detail and organisational skillsThe confidence to challenge, influence and work with stakeholders across the businessCIPP qualification (or studying towards) desirablePayroll systems implementation or testing experience desirableExperience working with shift-based or operational workforces desirableWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from £40,500 to £45,000 per annum + up to 10% bonusPrivate medical care and an employee assistance programme (EAP).Access to a share scheme and car lease scheme.30% discount and free parking, including for holidays.Flexible working arrangement with an onsite 5-day training schedule and a 3/2 hybrid split thereafter.This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled payroll professional to advance their career in a thriving Birmingham-based organisation.
