The company is committed to delivering high-quality services, and the Telford-based team is looking for a skilled professional to join their accounting and finance department.Job DescriptionThe Payroll Officer will;Own and manage the end‑to‑end monthly payroll process, from data collection to final submission and reportingProcess monthly payrollManage and validate overtime and timesheetsMonitor and reconcile payroll runs, ensuring accuracy across all entitiesAdminister statutory payroll reporting, pension uploads, and compliance requirementsMaintain full responsibility for payroll processes across approximately 230 employees, split across 3 entitiesPrepare payroll data for monthly financial reportingSupport budget collation, to consolidate payroll costs monthlyLead payroll activity for year‑end and interim audits, includingWork closely with the HR team to support payroll‑related HR processesAssist with death‑in‑service renewals and payroll‑linked benefits administrationAct as a trusted and discreet point of contact for sensitive payroll mattersSupport the L&D function by working with skills matrices and competency platformsExtract and analyse learning data and reports (e.g. via SAP SuccessFactors)The Successful ApplicantA successful Payroll Officer should have:Experience in payroll processing within the industrial/manufacturing sector.Proficiency in payroll software SAP SuccessFactors and Microsoft Office applications.A strong understanding of UK payroll regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent organisational and time-management skills.Attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive information securely.A collaborative approach and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.What's on OfferThe Payroll Officer will be offered;Competitive salary ranging from £35,000 to £36,000 per annum.Hybrid working options for added flexibility.Opportunities to work within a respected small-sized organisation in Telford.Supportive company culture with a focus on professional growth.Strong support for professional development, including CIPP and/or CIPD qualificationsOpportunity to broaden into a hybrid Payroll / HR / L&D role over timeThis is an excellent opportunity for a Payroll Officer to join a growing team in the industrial/manufacturing sector.
