Working closely with and reporting to the VP, the role will help drive performance across all stages of the investment cycle (origination to execution) as well as on-boarding and asset management. Exciting opportunity to work on Real Estate, DC / Infrastructure and multiple Special Sits strategies.

About Our Client

Our client is an emerging, globally diversified fund, managing institutional-scale assets across Real Estate & Alternative investment sectors. They acquire, develop, finance and actively manage assets (including Op-Co / Prop-Co) and are expanding their Investment team with this newly created Investment Associate role.

Job Description

  • Creating, maintaining, managing and using financial models to analyse new investments, proposed changes to investment business plans and AM / DM decisions;
  • Participating in DD processes for new investments and requisite finance, liaising with all relevant external parties to drive deals forward;
  • Preparing and reviewing memoranda for the presentation of acquisitions to the Investment Committee;
  • Participating in origination, business plan formulation and commercial negotiation
  • Understanding and tracking key business plan drivers, Asset plan timelines, development project programmes and asset business planning;
  • Driving performance across all stages of the investment cycle;
  • Working collaboratively with the AM & Finance teams;
  • Presenting to the senior leadership team
  • Coordinating lawyers, agents and external advisors in debt, acquisition, and disposal execution processes.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Real Estate Investment Associate should have:

· BSc in Business / Real Estate / Finance or a related field

· Ideally MSc from a top-tier university in Real Estate Investment or Finance, ideally Bayes Business School or the University of Cambridge

· Strong academic track record in both of the above

· 3-5 years' experience in Investment Banking or PE Real Estate (ideally a combination of both)

· Advanced financial modelling skills

· Excellent written & verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills

· Strong presentation skills

· Excellent process and stakeholder management

· Critical thinking, inquisitive / curious mindset

· Open to direct, honest feedback and ability to put into action any points for development

· Invested in personal development / continuous improvement
