Job Description

  • Build effective relationships with managers and stakeholders, providing practical HR advice and support.
  • Assist in the delivery of people strategies and initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Support diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, helping to foster an inclusive working environment.
  • Partner with specialist HR teams to deliver a seamless and high-quality people service.
  • Advise managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Support organisational change, restructures, and workforce planning activities.
  • Assist with the delivery of people-focused projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including absence management, performance, capability, probation, flexible working, grievances, and workplace wellbeing.
  • Coordinate occupational health referrals and support managers with employee wellbeing matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment legislation, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse and utilise people data and insights to support decision-making and identify trends.
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of HR processes, policies, and ways of working.
  • Keep up to date with employment law and HR best practice developments.

The Successful Applicant

A successful People Advisor should have:

  • Proven experience in a Human Resources role within the Media & Agency industry.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) is desirable.
  • Previous experience in an HR Advisor role, with a desire to progress into a more strategic People Partnering position.
  • Strong HR generalist background, ideally gained within a fast-paced and evolving organisation.
  • Proven experience managing and resolving employee relations matters, providing practical and commercially focused solutions.
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law and its application within a business environment.
  • Experience delivering a proactive, customer-focused HR service to managers and employees.
  • Ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience supporting organisational change, business improvement initiatives, and people-focused projects.
  • Familiarity with working within a shared-service HR model and collaborating with specialist teams such as Recruitment, Learning & Development, Reward, and Employee Relations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
