Job Description

  • Manage and oversee the personal tax compliance process for a portfolio of clients.
  • Provide advisory services on a range of personal tax matters, including inheritance tax and capital gains tax.
  • Ensure all personal tax returns are prepared and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Offer expert guidance to clients on tax planning opportunities.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing queries and offering solutions.
  • Assist with HMRC enquiries and liaise with tax authorities when required.
  • Support the development of junior team members through mentoring and guidance.
  • Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure compliance with current regulations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Personal Tax Manager should have:

  • A professional qualification such as ATT, CTA, or equivalent in taxation or accounting.
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation and compliance processes.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of clients within the professional services industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
  • The ability to work independently and efficiently manage deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and identifying tax planning opportunities.
