Job Description

  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax returns.
  • Provide tailored tax planning advice to clients in line with current regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise tax positions for individuals and families.
  • Respond to client queries and provide clear guidance on tax-related matters.
  • Assist with HMRC correspondence and compliance issues.
  • Support the team in reviewing and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Keep up-to-date with changes in tax legislation and implement them as necessary.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless service for clients.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Personal Tax Senior should have:

  • A professional qualification such as ATT or CTA, or equivalent experience in personal tax.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and compliance processes.
  • Proven expertise in managing a portfolio of personal tax clients.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
