Job Description

  • Manage the daily operations of the healthcare department to ensure everything runs efficiently.
  • Support and guide team members to deliver excellent patient care and service.
  • Handle scheduling, ensuring the department is fully staffed to meet demand.
  • Provide professional and clinical leadership to the pharmacy team.
  • Ensure the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and clinical services.
  • Drive the delivery of NHS and private pharmacy services.
  • Lead, motivate and develop the pharmacy team.
  • Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong relationships with patients, healthcare professionals and local stakeholders.
  • Manage pharmacy performance, stock control and overall operational efficiency.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-focused care.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Pharmacist Manager should have:

  • Pharmacist with current GPhC registration
  • Have previous experience working within a community pharmacy environment.
  • Experience managing operations in a healthcare or retail setting.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills.
  • A good understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in healthcare.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • A commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Be passionate about delivering excellent patient care.
  • Show a proactive, positive and solution-focused approach.
