Job Description

  • Operate recycling plant equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor plant performance and production output.
  • Carry out routine inspections and basic maintenance checks.
  • Identify and report equipment faults and operational issues.
  • Ensure materials are processed to required quality standards.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards across the site.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with maintenance and production teams.
  • Complete operational records and documentation accurately.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Plant Operator should have:

  • Experience within a manufacturing, recycling, waste, quarry, or industrial environment.
  • Ability to operate machinery and processing equipment safely.
  • Strong awareness of Health & Safety practices.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and fault-reporting experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible approach to shift work.
  • Mobile plant licences would be advantageous.
