Job Description

  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Prepare and issue tender documents, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and negotiate contracts to secure favourable terms.
  • Monitor supplier performance and ensure adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and provide regular reports to management.
  • Support the Procurement & Supply Chain department with ad hoc tasks as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Procurement Officer should have:

  • Demonstrable experience in procurement within the public sector or a similar environment.
  • Sound knowledge of procurement regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • A relevant qualification in procurement or supply chain management is desirable.
  • Proficiency in using procurement systems and tools.
