With a proven track record supporting major blue‑chip clients, it is recognised for its commitment to innovation, quality, and operational excellence across the full manufacturing lifecycle.Job DescriptionAs a Project Engineer you will be tasked with the following:Lead and coordinate new product introduction and change-management projects from enquiry through to delivery.Develop and manage project plans, gateways, milestones, budgets, and risk‑mitigation actions.Drive APQP activities and compile PPAP documentation in collaboration with internal teams.Resolve project roadblocks, assign accountability, and ensure issues are closed out effectively.Coordinate and manage customer RFQs, review costings, and prepare competitive quotations.Chair project meetings, communicate progress to stakeholders, and maintain consistent project documentation.Provide technical support across departments and ensure strong cross‑functional communication.Conduct lessons‑learned reviews and ensure adherence to internal project management processes.Coach, support, and guide project team members to promote strong performance and development.The Successful ApplicantA successful Project Engineer should have:Engineering/Manufacturing degree / HNC or equivalent industry experience is essentialKnowledge & Experience of PPAP & APQP is essential (FAI advantageous)3 Years experience of project management within a manufacturing environment is essentialUnderstanding of CNC machining principlesKnowledge of Castings, Extrusions & Forgings would be advantageousRecognised Project Management Qualification (desirable)Excellent IT skills with an in depth knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint & ProjectExperience of managing manufacturing projects on schedule and within budgetExperience interfacing with customersWorking knowledge of MS ProjectWhat's on OfferCompetitive salary between £40,000 and £50,000 per annum.Salary sacrifice pension scheme with a total 9% contribution (5% employee, 4% employer).25 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays.Medical cashback plan and high street shopping cashback card.Cycle to work scheme and EV car leasing scheme.This is an excellent opportunity for a Project Engineer to join a small-sized company in Burnley and contribute to exciting projects within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
