Job Description

  • To originate property debt finance transactions through own net work.
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow the bank's property loan portfolio, including residential and commercial mortgages.
  • Identify and target potential clients, engaging with real estate brokers for property loan portfolio growth.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and ensure effective follow-up to convert leads into loans or deposits.
  • To manage originate to sell property debt finance transactions for the bank through own net work.
  • Develop relationships with institutions for onward funding of property transactions.
  • Originate opportunities in portfolio acquisitions from funds/institutions.
  • Assist in managing real estate transactions originated by branches for terms closing with clients and credit approval and disbursement.
  • Set up a broker channel for origination of real estate debt finance deals.
  • To appraise the asset management and business plans of target properties to be financed.
  • To evaluate property specific risk and must be proficient in excel modelling.
  • To assess the net income position and the implications on cash flow, value and exit position.
  • To build, interpret and manipulate financial models to evaluate the security of financing arrangements.
  • To be responsible for the valuation due diligence during the transaction execution process.
  • To write credit applications under tight deadlines and lead the credit process.
  • To address any queries or requests raised by the credit risk department, the credit committee and the business line.
  • To prepare deal proposals and term sheets.
  • To assist with asset management of already invested Real Estate Finance Facilities as required.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Relationship Manager should have:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Relationship Manager role within Banking/Financial Services.
  • Proven capability in building and maintaining financial models.
  • Advanced Excel.
  • Experience writing credit applications.
  • Good communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • High level understanding of balance sheets.
  • Strong Analytical skills and problem solving skills.
