Job Description

  • Provide legal advice on rural property transactions, including sales, purchases, and leases.
  • Advise clients on agricultural law, including land use, tenancy agreements, and related disputes.
  • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documentation with precision.
  • Assist clients with succession planning and estate management for rural properties.
  • Conduct legal research to ensure compliance with the latest regulations and policies.
  • Represent clients in negotiations and mediations to achieve favourable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the legal department to provide comprehensive solutions.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Rural Solicitor should have:

  • Qualified solicitor status with c. 3-5 years expertise in rural and agricultural law or commercial property.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in contract drafting and review.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities to work effectively with clients.
  • A proactive approach to managing workloads and meeting deadlines.
  • A collaborative mindset to work well within a professional services environment.
