Job Description

  • Source and procure products that align with business needs and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and value.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve cost savings for the business.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align purchasing with business goals.
  • Review and analyse supplier performance to ensure high standards are met.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to key stakeholders on purchasing activities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Buyer should have:

  • Previous experience in a buying role within the retail industry.
  • Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience dealing with far east suppliers
  • Knowledge of market trends and an understanding of retail purchasing strategies.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools for inventory and procurement management.
