Lawyers within the team work closely with senior operational and executive stakeholders on high-value, strategically important matters within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.Job DescriptionThe Senior Construction Legal Counsel will be:Leading on complex NEC construction and infrastructure contract matters across major projectsAdvising senior commercial and procurement stakeholders on contractual risk and strategySupporting the negotiation of high-value construction, funding and supply chain agreementsAdvising on contractual claims, disputes and risk allocation issuesManaging external legal advisers and supporting key business decision making on strategically significant mattersThe Successful ApplicantThe Senior Construction Legal Counsel should be:A solicitor or barrister with significant construction and commercial contracts experienceHighly experienced advising on NEC contracts within infrastructure, transport or major projects environmentsExperienced supporting high-value procurement and commercial negotiationsComfortable operating as a senior legal adviser to executive and operational stakeholdersExperienced managing complex contractual risk, disputes and stakeholder relationshipsWhat's on OfferThis is an opportunity to join a highly respected in-house legal team working on one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure programmes.
