At this new R&D facility in Milton Park, Oxfordshire, we need a Senior Finance Business Partner - R&D, who will work hand in hand with scientists, engineers, and technology leaders at the forefront of innovation.This is a highly visible, strategic position where you'll partner closely with the Senior global Leadership Team, shaping decisions from early stage research concepts through to development programmes.If you're energised by challenge, excited by growth, and motivated by impact, we'd love to hear from you.Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities include:Act as a trusted financial adviser to senior leadership - forecasting costs, controlling spend, and guiding strategic decision making.Lead budgeting, cashflow forecasting, and long term planning, ensuring alignment with our technology road map and organisational priorities.Drive financial excellence as we commission and scale our global technology facilities, partnering with Programme Management, HR, IT, Procurement, and local leadership teams.Support business case development and ongoing monitoring of research, product development, and engineering portfolio projects.Partner with HR to forecast headcount and support workforce ramp up planning across global R&D sites.Champion continuous improvement, enhancing reporting, processes, and operational efficiency.Line manage and develop an existing Finance Analyst within the team.Lead finance workstreams for systems implementation, ensuring readiness and adoption.Adapt and grow with the business - responsibilities will evolve as the business scales at pace.The Successful ApplicantA successful Senior Finance Business Partner - R&D should have:Significant experience in business partnering within an R&D environmentQualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).Proven experience supporting senior leadership, including CSuite stakeholders.Background in R&D focused industries such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, engineering, or advanced technology.Strong analytical capability with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight.Confident stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence across a global matrix organisation.High learning agility, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for technology and innovation.A proactive, collaborative mindset and the desire to grow within a fast scaling organisation.What's on OfferCompetitive salary ranging from £80,000 to £100,000 per annum, with excellent package.Permanent, office-based role located in Milton Park (with some hybrid working).Opportunities for career development within the growing sector.Collaborative and professional working environment.If you are an experienced Finance Business Partner looking for a new challenge, this role in Milton Park could be the perfect opportunity for you.
