As a Senior HR Administrator in Littlehampton, you'll take care of the day-to-day running of HR processes in the professional services industry. Your role will help ensure everything runs smoothly by managing key administrative tasks and supporting the HR function.

Job Description

  • Onboard new clients and establish their HR policies and systems.
  • Prepare HR documents such as employment contracts and new hire guides.
  • Co-ordinate induction sessions and ensure all documentation is completed, recorded, and communicated effectively.
  • Review and update company policies.
  • Liaise with external partners such as Occupational Health, HRIS providers and legal compliance.
  • Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics (e.g. turnover rates, stability, absence).
  • Proactively manage varied HR Information systems, updating records in a timely manner (e.g. starters, leavers, maternity, holiday).
  • Monitor and manage client HR in-boxes, responding where appropriate and escalating to HR Advisors where needed.
  • Support HR Advisors and HRBPs by ensuring all disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management cases and outcomes have been captured, recorded and logged in the relevant HRIS
  • Ensure the accurate recording and archiving of all employees related documents and correspondence in line with GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
  • Update the HR System with sickness reasons and ensure medical certificates and return to work interview forms are received and filed.
  • Process leavers on the HR System and ensure all associated paperwork is actioned and distributed as required.
  • Provide timely employment references when requested in accordance with policy.
  • Administer the maternity process by issuing maternity information and processing paperwork/updating the HR System.
  • Ensure the client Organisation charts are kept up to date with leavers and staff changes.
  • Answer phone & email queries about HR admin related activities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Assist payroll providers by providing relevant employee information (e.g. leave, absence, sick days and work schedules).
  • Provide accurate and timely administration support to our team and clients.
  • Ensure all correspondence are prepared to a high standard with a 'right first time' approach to detail.
  • Participate in HR projects
  • Act as first line advisory support to clients for employment enquiries and for direct client relationships where assigned.



The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior HR Administrator should have:

  • CIPD qualified to at least level 5 or equivalent occupational qualifications.
  • Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of relevant ER and HR related legislation.
  • 3 years of experience within a relevant HR role.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can flex communication style according to listener / audience.
  • Loves working as part of a team but also self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of HR legal requirements and best practices.
  • Excellent knowledge of employment contracts and terms and the application of typical HR processes.



What's on Offer

  • An hourly rate of £16.00 to £18.00, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Monday to Friday 9:00am until 5:00pm, 30 minutes for lunch
  • 2 days a week in office, 3 days WFH
  • Initial 6 week assignment
