Save Job Back to Search Job Description Summary Similar JobsDrive commercial performance and build capability with real influence.Work with an impressive CFO in a high-growth, PE-backed manufacturing business.About Our ClientFluid Water Group is a rapidly expanding engineering and manufacturing business specialising in water pressure management systems for the UK domestic, commercial and industrial sectors.Backed by a leading private equity house, the business has a strong track record of profitable and cash generative organic growth and has completed several acquisitions over the past 24 months.Following this period of acquisition and expansion, the Group CFO is realigning the finance function to enhance controls, improve efficiency and increase financial support to the business.Key aspects of the future finance operating model includes:Adoption of a single ERP across the business (Sage)Simplification of the legal structureCentralisation of financial control processes (group consolidation, statutory reporting, audit, tax, transaction processing and treasury)Establishment of commercial finance capability, closely aligned to businessJob DescriptionThe newly created role of Senior Manager - FP&A (Commercial Finance Manager), acts as a key business partner to commercial and operational teams, providing financial insight, analysis, and strategic support to drive profitability, revenue growth, and business performance.This role bridges the gap between finance and business functions, ensuring that financial planning aligns with business strategy and that execution plans are clearly set out and tracked effectively.The role holder will report to the CFO but operate as part of the Division Management Team and have responsibility for:Business partnering includingS&OP and inventory managementPricing and profitability managementProduct cost analysis and supply chain / procurement strategyCommercial terms management according to divisional DOAFinancial reportingFinancial forecasting for DivisionBusiness governanceKey Responsibilities:Business PartneringProvide financial leadership and analysis to core divisional processesTrack key strategic synergy and growth initiativesDevelop databases supporting analytics with Business, IT team and GFCLeadershipKey member of Divisional Leadership team and CFO Direct Reports teamKey promoter of FWG values through an inclusive, positive, can-do approachCollaborate with GFC and GTM to ensure successful transition to new finance operating modelFinancial reportingPrepare annual budget with leadership and be accountable for delivery of targetsCo-ordinate performance management structure with Division MD and CFOPrepare weekly and monthly financial reporting packsPrepare 360' commercial and operational KPIs (eg efficiency, PPV, QA, order convertibility, rate of sale, distributor stock levels, bid and win rate, etc)Financial forecastingEnhance monthly financial reforecast processes including P&L, Cash and CapexIdentify Gaps, Over-Delivery and R&O and model forecast scenariosBusiness GovernanceEnsure application of DOA within business divisionMaintain and follow Division Finance ManualRepresent good business governance with Division leadership teamThe Successful ApplicantThe role is highly commercial and carries responsibility for both financial and business management.
