Job Description

  • Manage the pharmacy's daily operations, ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
  • Provide expert advice to customers on healthcare and medication-related queries.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy staff, fostering a productive working environment.
  • Ensure accurate dispensing of prescriptions and maintain proper records.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory effectively.
  • Collaborate with store management to align pharmacy operations with overall business goals.
  • Deliver health services, such as vaccinations and health checks, as required.
  • Stay updated on developments in pharmacy practice and retail healthcare trends.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Duty Pharmacist Manager should have:

  • Full registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • A strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and retail healthcare.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to manage and support the team effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications and maintaining records.
  • Ability to provide high-quality customer service and build relationships with the community.
  • Experience in leading a team.
