They offer a supportive working environment where employees are encouraged to develop their skills and build long-term careers.Job DescriptionThis Test Engineer role will suit a mechanically minded Engineer looking to further develop their specialist hydraulic expertise, while working on a wide range of pumps, valves, motors, transmissions and other hydraulic equipment. You'll be expected to work independently and as part of the team, producing high-quality work to tight tolerances with a right-first-time attitude.Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll be responsible for:Testing hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, motors, transmissions and other ancillary equipmentFault finding and detailed inspection workCompiling test certificates and performance graphsWorking on units from a variety of manufacturersAssisting with service work when requiredWorking alongside the Workshop and Technical Managers to achieve customer requirementsThis position offers extensive training and development, making it ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving and is eager to expand their technical knowledge.The Successful ApplicantWe are looking for a practical, reliable and motivated individual who takes pride in delivering high-quality work.Ideally, you will have:NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering qualification or equivalentExperience working within an engineering, manufacturing or workshop environmentUnderstanding of hydraulic systems and componentsAbility to read and interpret mechanical or hydraulic drawings and schematicsStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skillsGood IT literacy, including Microsoft Office programmesUnderstanding of workshop health and safety practicesA positive attitude and genuine desire to learn and develop new technical skillsPrevious hydraulic testing experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as comprehensive training can be provided.
