Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Separation Programme Delivery Lead to oversee and execute a complex IT carve out within a fast‑paced, Private Equity-backed environment. This role requires a seasoned delivery professional with a track record of successfully leading IT separations, divestments, or carve outs - ideally within PE portfolio companies or similarly high‑pressure transitional contexts.

You will be responsible for bringing clarity, pace, and structure to an evolving programme, ensuring robust governance, integrated planning, and high‑quality delivery across multiple workstreams. Lead the end‑to‑end IT separation programme, shaping scope, plans, milestones, and delivery outcomes.

  • Establish and embed programme governance, including RAID management, reporting cadence, decision forums, and assurance.
  • Rapidly stabilise delivery, defining structured work packages and converting early ambiguity into executable plans.
  • Create and manage integrated programme plans, ensuring alignment across technical, operational, and business domains.
  • Orchestrate cross‑workstream dependencies and manage critical sequencing for TSA exit and cutover readiness.
  • Shape and assure the output of a Systems Integrator, ensuring deliverables meet agreed scope, timelines, and acceptance criteria.
  • Engage and influence senior stakeholders, providing clarity, progress visibility, and clear decision pathways.
  • Drive milestone delivery, ensuring the programme remains on track and key decision points are met with high‑quality inputs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Separation Programme Delivery Lead should have:

  • Proven experience delivering IT separations, carve outs, or divestments, ideally within Private Equity‑backed organisations.
  • Ability to operate independently, driving structure and pace in dynamic and ambiguous environments.
  • Strong programme management and governance skills, with experience establishing control frameworks rapidly.
  • Experience working with or overseeing a Systems Integrator during a complex separation or transition.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.
  • Strength in integrated planning, dependency management, and risk/issue control.
  • Ability to deliver impactful outcomes from day one.

What's on Offer

  • Competitive daily rate between £550-600 a day Outside IR35, depending on experience.
  • Exciting opportunity to work on impactful technology programmes.
  • Temporary role offering flexibility and project-based challenges.
  • Office location in Hemel Hempstead, providing a convenient work environment.
