Job Description

  • Prepare and reconcile service charge accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain accurate financial records related to service charges.
  • Respond to queries from stakeholders regarding service charge matters.
  • Assist with audits and provide required documentation.
  • Collaborate with property managers to ensure budgets are effectively managed.
  • Ensure timely and accurate invoicing of service charges.
  • Monitor and manage arrears related to service charges.
  • Provide regular financial reports to relevant teams.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Service Charge Accountant should have:

  • Previous experience as a service charge accountant or in accounting or finance roles, ideally within service charge accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
