Job Description

The Service Charge Accountant will;

  • Prepare and manage service charge budgets and accounts in compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
  • Collaborate with the housing management team to ensure accurate service charge calculations.
  • Provide financial reports and analysis to support decision-making processes.
  • Respond to queries related to service charges from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with audits and ensure compliance with financial standards.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the accounting and finance department.
  • Support the wider team in achieving organisational goals in Stoke on Trent.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Service Charge Accountant should have:

  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance.
  • Experience in service charge accounting, preferably within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting principles.
