We're seeking motivated candidates to join the Rolls‑Royce M&A team in London. As a Senior Manager, you'll help drive strategic transformation across partnerships, JVs, acquisitions, divestments, procurement‑led deals, restructuring and separations. Experience in Civil Aerospace & Defence is ideal, but Automotive, Energy, Infrastructure, Manufacturing or wider heavy industrials also fit.

Job Description

As an M&A Senior Manager with Rolls-Royce, it's important to recognise that this is a hands‑on role suited to someone who is motivated, driven, enthusiastic, and comfortable taking ownership while working alongside experienced M&A professionals.Key accountabilities in brief:

  • Support the execution process by working closely with internal functional partners and external advisors on valuation, due diligence, and implementation planning.
  • Prepare internal materials for project analysis and recommendations, for steering committees, investment committees and board meetings.
  • Support the origination process by tracking and analysing target companies, performing screening and selection, managing the M&A pipeline.
  • Maintain key databases (including CRM/contact list, transaction precedents, etc.) and update M&A playbooks regularly for new lessons learned and best practices.
  • Lead the evaluation and execution of mergers and acquisitions within the civil aerospace, defence, and heavy industrial sectors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct financial analysis and due diligence.
  • Develop financial models to support strategic decision-making processes.
  • Identify potential acquisition opportunities and provide recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Negotiate deal terms and structure agreements in alignment with company objectives.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to stakeholders and executive teams.
  • Monitor and manage post-acquisition integration activities to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends to identify future opportunities and risks.



The Successful Applicant

We would expect a successful M&A Senior Manager to have:

  • M&A foundation - must have some real-world hands-on experience in M&A
  • Financial acumen - solid foundation in fundamentals of valuation and financial modelling, data management, research and analysis; knowledge of financial markets and accounting principles
  • Attitude - detail oriented, thorough, intellectually curious, reliable, and results-oriented.
  • Style - positive and proactive, flexible, open minded, adaptable to change, willing and able to be coached by senior team members.
  • Background in M&A via corporate development, investment banking, Big 4 Transaction Services/Deals or private equity.



Along with:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess complex financial data.
  • Integration and separation - experience in integration and separation planning and delivery would be an asset.
  • Experience in civil aerospace, defence, or heavy industrial operations.
  • A professional qualification or relevant degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
