Job Description

What the main responsibilities of the strategic Procurement Manager will look like:

  • Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies.
  • · Drive cost analysis and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
  • · Create and apply effective negotiation strategies.
  • · Conduct scenario-based analysis, benchmarking, and market research.
  • · Anticipate supplier power shifts and optimize sourcing processes.
  • · Support budget development and management.
  • § Deliver GNFR procurement savings targets.
  • · Manage supplier contracts, KPIs, and SLAs.
  • · Lead and develop direct reports (as required).
  • · Build strong cross-functional stakeholder relationships to ensure policy compliance.
  • · Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO, ESOS, CSR, GDP, etc.).

The Successful Applicant

A successful Strategic Procurement Manager should have:

  • Strong knowledge of procurement and supply chain processes within the retail industry.
  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • The ability to analyse data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Experience working in a hybrid environment, with both office and remote work.

  • Salary of £55,000 - £60,000, dependent on the level of experience.
