Job DescriptionAs a Traffic Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing and delivering traffic and highway improvement schemes that support safer journeys, sustainable travel and thriving communities.You'll work alongside experienced engineers on a diverse portfolio of projects, helping to shape the future of the local highway network while developing your own professional skills and experience.Job DescriptionThe Traffic Engineer will:Develop and deliver traffic engineering and highway improvement schemes.Produce and review traffic engineering designs.Manage project programmes, budgets and risk registers.Secure and deliver Traffic Regulation Orders and related schemes.Liaise with elected members, residents, developers and key stakeholders.Coordinate with utility companies, emergency services and contractors.Monitor project performance and expenditure.Support the delivery of regional transport strategies and council priorities.Mentor junior colleagues and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
