Job Description

As the Transport Manager you will,

  • Oversee daily transport operations to ensure optimal efficiency and compliance with regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve delivery performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Manage a team ensuring proper training and performance management. This role is critical member of the SLT and needs to be a visible leader with a continuous drive for excellence
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline logistics processes.
  • Analyse transport data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements in the transport & distribution industry.
  • Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers and clients.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Transport Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role supporting a busy retail client base
  • Comprehensive knowledge of logistics and transport regulations.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to engage and drive a positive performance management culture
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in analysing data and implementing process improvements.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
