Job Description

  • Lead and support on business valuations for tax purposes, including share schemes, restructuring and transactions
  • Provide technical tax support on valuation-related matters such as IHT, CGT and employee incentives
  • Manage client relationships, acting as a key contact on valuation and advisory engagements
  • Review valuation models and reports prepared by junior team members, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders on transactions, due diligence and structuring projects
  • Assist in preparing detailed and defensible valuation reports for HMRC and other stakeholders
  • Contribute to business development through identifying opportunities and supporting proposals
  • Stay up to date with relevant tax legislation and valuation methodologies

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in or an understanding of preparing valuations for various purposes, including tax-advantaged option plans, employment-related securities, Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and corporate reorganisations.
  • A commercial outlook and understanding of how different businesses operate.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of dealing directly with clients and intermediaries.
  • CTA and / or ACA qualified (preferred although not essential).
