London, 31 March 2026: New data from recruitment agency Michael Page for Q4 2025 indicates a varied hiring landscape in North East England, influenced by industrial trends. According to the data, industries seeing the highest demand for candidates in North East England, based on the number of job adverts created in Q4 2025 were: • Engineering & Manufacturing • Healthcare • Technology • Retail • Hospitality & Leisure • Logistics In contrast, the following industries saw the highest demand from candidates in North East England, based on the number of job applications per role: • Technology • Customer Service • Logistics • Secretarial & Business Support • Retail • Construction However, the following industries saw the highest growth in candidate demand in Q4 2025, compared to the three months prior: • Hospitality & Leisure (27%) • Logistics (16%) • Retail (5%) Chris Lyons, Director, Yorkshire and North East at Michael Page, says: “The North East’s industrial landscape is reflected in this data, with Engineering & Manufacturing, Healthcare, and Technology seeing the strongest employer demand.
