A growing chartered accountancy practice based in Bideford is searching for an Accounts and Audit Semi Senior, or Senior Accountant to join their team in a role offering genuine training and developing on the audit side, along with study support and technical skill career progression. The role and firm offers the chance to further develop across mixed audit and accounts and tax in a supportive and successful firm of accountants.

About Our Client

Based in Bideford the firm acts for a wide spectrum of clients across very varied industries, sectors and turnovers. Alongside a larger proportion (60 - 70%) of sole traders partnerships and limited companies with a year end accounts requirement, the firm also acts for larger OMBs, SMEs, groups not for profit, charity with audit requirement (around 30 - 40%). You will be encouraged to develop technically with support for further studies on offer as you progress in your career Tax Cal, Digita and Xero as main accountancy packages and softwares.

Job Description

Joining the Bideford offices as Accounts and Audit Semi Senior, or Senior Accountant with the role mouldable to a decent degree on the level and experience of the right candidate you will have a circa 70/30% split across year end accounts and tax work to audit involvement. If you have existing audit experience that is a bonus, whilst training and development is on offer for those with a year end accounts background only to learn and develop assisting on audits moving forward. You will be developed and encouraged to progress technically within this environment and the role offers an excellent opportunity for the right professional looking to further their career in the profession.

The Successful Applicant

For this Accounts and Audit Semi Senior, or Senior Accountant role it will suit any of an AAT qualified and/or, part qualified, finalist or recently qualified ACA or ACCA Semi Senior, or Senior accountant level professional. You will have at least two to three years of considerably more accountancy practice experience in your career so far across any mix of year end accounts, tax, audit experience (with training on offer for those with only a year end accounts background so far in their career to develop audit skills) You will be looking to further your career within the profession with increasing responsibility and progression on offer, as you carve a key position within this successful team and department.
