Job Description

  • Process and manage supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the accounts payable ledger.
  • Assist in month-end closing and reporting activities.
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers to address and resolve payment issues.
  • Support internal audits related to the accounts payable function.
  • Contribute to process improvements for increased efficiency and accuracy in the finance department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful AP Accountant should have:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external suppliers.
  • A relevant qualification in accounting or finance is preferred.
