This is an excellent opportunity for an AP Manager to take charge of end-to-end AP processes for a high-growth construction group in Central London. You'll manage a team, and will lead on a systems implementation change and be responsible for implementing controls and improving processes.

About Our Client

Our client is a small but well-established business, operating with four entities in the group across London. They pride themselves on their internal training and progression opportunities, with this role eventually evolving into a Finance Operations Manager title. Various members of staff have been in the business for over a decade, with a strong leadership and senior team.

Job Description

  • Oversee the accounts payable function to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Manage and mentor the accounts payable team to meet performance targets.
  • Ensure all invoices are processed accurately and within deadlines.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support month-end and year-end processes.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for efficiency.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful AP Manager should have:

  • Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Previous experience managing a team.
  • Experience within the construction industry highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
