Our client is seeking a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join their team in West Byfleet. This role will focus on supporting the accounting and finance department in managing financial operations and reporting.

Job Description

  • Process invoices onto related software systems including but not limited to parts and other supplier invoices.
  • Keep all relevant sales and purchase ledgers as accurate as possible. Included but not limited to chasing aged debtors, raising invoice queries with suppliers, and raising payments.
  • Daily bank statement reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly set of financial accounts within the given deadline. Including producing a full month-end pack, reconcile the balance sheet, and process relevant journals. Also attend monthly accounts reviews where relevant.
  • Pass all supplier invoices, coding them into the relevant nominals, for all relevant sites.
  • Keep up to date filing and storage of paperwork according to GDPR regulations

The Successful Applicant

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

  • A background in accounting or finance.
  • May be studying an accountancy qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment.
