Job Description

  • Timely project delivery: Percentage of projects completed within the agreed timelines.
  • Milestone completion: Proportion of key project milestones achieved as scheduled.
  • Quality of deliverables: Extent to which project outputs (assets, materials, and activities) meet agreed standards and expectations.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction: Feedback ratings from internal teams, partners, and external suppliers regarding project delivery.
  • Risk and issue management: Effectiveness in identifying risks early and resolving issues without escalation.
  • Process adherence: Compliance with internal project management frameworks, documentation requirements, and governance processes.
  • Implementation readiness: Ensuring all project components are completed, approved, and ready for deployment on time.
  • Collaboration and communication: Quality and timeliness of updates, clarity of shared information, and engagement with cross-functional teams.
  • Continuous improvement: Contributions toward identifying or implementing process improvements.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Associate Project Manager should have:

  • 3-5 years' experience in project delivery or project management, including coordinating work across cross-functional teams. Experience providing formal or informal supervision is beneficial.
  • Experience supporting organisation-wide projects, initiatives, or campaigns involving multiple teams or departments.
  • Proven ability to manage timelines, monitor deliverables, and coordinate tasks across stakeholders.
  • Experience using project management tools (e.g., Asana, ClickUp, Monday.com, MS Project, or similar platforms).
  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, International Development, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Project management training or certification is desirable (e.g., PRINCE2 Foundation, APM Associate/PMQ, AgilePM, Scrum certification).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using project management platforms such as Asana, Trello, or Monday.com (desirable).
  • Familiarity with organisational systems (e.g., CRM, CMS, or other operational platforms) is an advantage.
