This is a 12‑month fixed-term opportunity within the Banking Knowledge team, supporting a diverse finance practice through technical know-how, training and precedent development. The role offers broad exposure across multiple finance disciplines and close interaction with partners and fee earners at all levels.

The firm places real emphasis on its Knowledge function, with PSLs playing a visible and integral role in supporting fee earners, driving best practice and contributing to innovation across the business.

Job Description

  • Acting as a go-to technical resource, supporting lawyers with queries across a range of Banking matters
  • Working across areas including corporate and leveraged finance, real estate finance, infrastructure, project and asset finance, and restructuring scenarios
  • Developing and maintaining precedents, guidance notes and other know-how materials
  • Supporting the design and delivery of internal training programmes
  • Monitoring legal and market developments and translating these into practical insights
  • Collaborating with partners and the wider team to enhance knowledge tools, processes and efficiency

The Successful Applicant

  • Qualified solicitor (England & Wales) with Banking & Finance experience
  • Strong technical grounding across a broad range of finance work
  • Experience (or interest) in knowledge/PSL work, including drafting and training
  • Confident communicator, able to engage with partners and senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
  • Collaborative, proactive and interested in innovation and improving ways of working
