Business Development Manager - Consumer Electronics

Job Description

The Business Development Manager - Consumer Electronics will join an already successful commercial team and be tasked with working closely with the Sales Director in generating new business wins, opening up new customers and new channels driving the brand even further across the UK retail landscape.

Working to agreed commercial targets with your line manager, this person will focus on bringing on new business across channels such as garden centres, DIY customers, Hotels and other similar retail and out of home potential customers. Focusing away from the traditional bricks and mortar channels, this is about growing strong new partnerships.

This is a field based role - we are looking for someone who enjoys being out in the field, winning new business and developing commercial outcomes.

The Successful Applicant

The Business Development Manager - Consumer Electronics will come with the following skills and experiences:

  • current or previous commercial experience selling tangible products - ideally consumer brands
  • experience in a hunter, new business, business development capacity or an account manager who wants to move into this type of role
  • strong self-starter, excellent field experience, excellent organisational skills
  • excellent presentation skills
  • strong diary management, IT skills and financial awareness
  • excellent positive energy, someone used to ups and downs of a sales environment but sticks with positive outlook and approach
  • excellent ability to identify key contacts in potential customers and open doors for meetings
  • someone very mobile - ideally we would have someone in the middle part of England, however flexible if someone has good access across the country to see customers
  • excellent ability to research, identify and approach new business opportunities



The main office is in Surrey, however only some early office time would be required when on-boarding from this role, then 100% out in the field when the diary builds up.

What's on Offer

Up to £45,000 in base salary with an excellent 25% annual OTE on top, company car and other benefits too.
