Job Description

The OpportunityAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced lawyer to join the firm's global Professional Support team, supporting its BVI transactional and regulatory practice. Working closely with partners, practice group leaders and lawyers across multiple jurisdictions, you will play a key role in driving knowledge-sharing initiatives, maintaining technical resources and delivering training and thought leadership programmes.

This role is ideally suited to an experienced Professional Support Lawyer or a senior fee-earner looking to transition into a knowledge-focused position. While previous PSL experience is advantageous, it is not essential.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, draft and maintain precedents, legal guides, practice notes and other know-how materials.
Monitor and analyse legal, regulatory and industry developments affecting the BVI practice.
Produce client-facing briefings, legal updates, alerts and technical commentary.
Coordinate and deliver internal and external training programmes.
Support business development and client engagement initiatives through the creation of thought leadership, presentations, webinars and other content.
Review and update standard documents, checklists and automated templates to enhance consistency and efficiency.
Promote knowledge-sharing practices and encourage engagement with knowledge management platforms and resources.
Collaborate with lawyers and support teams globally to ensure the firm's knowledge resources remain relevant and accessible.

The Successful Applicant

Candidate ProfileYou will be a qualified lawyer with:

At least six years' post-qualification experience gained within a leading law firm.
A strong transactional background, ideally with exposure to offshore or international legal matters.
Regulatory experience, which would be viewed favourably.
Exceptional legal research, drafting and analytical skills.
Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
A genuine interest in knowledge management, legal innovation and lawyer development.
Experience with knowledge management technology and document automation tools, which would be advantageous.
A strong academic background and a collaborative, proactive approach to work.
