About Our Client

A leading UK FMCG wholesale business based in Yorkshire are looking for a Category Manager who will be supplying independent retailers across the convenience and grocery sector, with a strong national presence and a diverse product portfolio.

Job Description

  • Develop and implement category strategies to maximise sales and profit.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms and improve product offerings.
  • Work closely with marketing teams to align campaigns with category goals.
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure effective inventory management.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.



**Please note this role is 5 days a week onsite - hybrid working is not available.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Category Manager should have:

  • Experience in category management or a similar role, ideally in the retail or FMCG industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience working with suppliers.
  • Good understanding of marketing strategies and customer behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools for data analysis and reporting.
