Job Description

The Commercial Solicitor will be:

  • Advising on a broad range of commercial contracts relating to clean energy projects and businesses.
  • Supporting clients across areas such as renewable energy, battery storage, solar, wind, hydrogen and other emerging technologies.
  • Working on sophisticated contractual arrangements including route-to-market agreements, power purchase agreements, energy supply contracts and optimisation arrangements.
  • Working collaboratively with lawyers across different practice areas on complex clean energy matters.
  • Developing strong relationships with clients operating across the energy and sustainability sectors.

The Successful Applicant

The Commercial Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor or equivalent with around 5+ years' PQE.
  • Experienced in commercial contracts, with demonstrable exposure to the clean energy, renewables or wider energy sector.
  • Confident advising on complex contractual arrangements and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Commercially minded, with excellent drafting, communication and client relationship skills.
  • Keen to continue developing specialist expertise within the fast-evolving clean energy market.
